I'm really tired of inconsiderate people...

... especially when it comes to driving & parking. I get annoyed everytime I park in between vehicles and someone parks over the line or too close to one side. Sometimes you can't win. Either way, when some drivers are so inconsiderate that they open their door with such a force that it hits my car, puts large dents & scratches in the side, that really ticks me off..... AND there is no way for me to find out who did it. It happened last week either in the parking lot at my apartment complex or in the parking lot at work. I got home from work one day and came in the house. Hours later the wife comes home and asks me if I knew that my car got hit. Oh, lo & behold... there's several dents and large scratches where the paint was scuffed too. I get pissed about getting door dings and this was no ding. This pissed me off even more because someone had to use a lot of force for these large dents. The dents were above the front wheel well on the passenger side.

All I ask for is for people to be considerate when the park their vehicles & especially when they open the vehicle doors. These dents, dings, and scratches all add up over time and will have an impact on the vehicle value in case of a trade-in, sale, or even if the vehicle is deemed a total loss in an accident because of the pre-accident value. Also, the paint is effected & more prone to rust now that the paint coats are being scraped away by careless door openers.

On the positive side, at least someone didn't break into the vehicle, attempt theft, and most importantly, the vehicle still operates.

Back when I was a healthy sap...

I've been working with the short guy in the middle of this picture for several years. He received this photo from somebody a few days ago. Too bad it took several years to finally get it and he sent me a copy. Somebody was taking pictures of us while we towed a jet and we didn't know anyone was taking pictures until now. This picture was taken on 20 October 2003. There I am on the right with the sun in my face, looking down toward the ground so I'm not blinded. Daily I'd be doing crew chief stuff with all of these guys. This is the only picture (that I know of) that has me in it while I'm actually working, although it looks like I'm just standing there, we're about to do something. What a difficult job...
