I saw the doctor on base again yesterday and I was not surprised how things went. I was not given a waiver, which prevents me from lifting things too heavy and stuff. Also, the doctor just kept making assumptions the entire time. I kept on correcting the doctor, who was actually a Captain, an officer !!! It seemed the doctor, rather P.A., did not listen to me, which is normal for every visit at the base. This pissed me off. I tried to be respectful. It is kind of difficult getting the proper medical care when I have to be careful the way I speak to a doctor, who happens to be an officer too. So it is kind of a Catch 22. You get screwed either way. I'm very disappointed. I was going to see if I can see a civilian off base instead of seeing doctors on base - I can change my PCM, primary care manager (physician), but it'll probably end up being another officer on base; I might be required to be seen on base. It is very frustrating.

Just another birthday

I was supposed to have yesterday and today off, but because of poor management and someone extending their leave (vacation) from 2 weeks to one month, while they were still on leave, has forced me to keep working because there aren't enough people. In my work section I am owed 3 free days, but because there aren't any people, barely enough to get the minimum done, I cannot take my free days, which compensate for the weekends I've worked without any breaks, etc. We've got people on vacation, people getting kicked out of the military, people deployed... management sucks... I just wanted some free time to spend with my family because of the extra duties I performed and the free days of compensation I'm owed. The other guy I work with on shift had his birthday on August 7th, and he worked the weekend too, but cannot get free time because there are "not enough people to get the job done." The section I work for has gone to hell in a hand basket !!!
