An e-mail I received... What is this supposed to mean ?
RELATIONSHIPS
Imagine your relationships as a pyramid. At the base of the pyramid are many people that you know casually—
the pharmacist at the corner drugstore, the people you pass each day as you go about your work, the mailman or UPS woman.
As you move up the pyramid, the number of people grows smaller as your relationship to each person becomes closer and more intense—
the coworker at the next desk, your boss, your friends.
And at the very top are the people closest to you—your spouse or significant other, your children, your parents.
Did you know that as you move up the pyramid, the amount of conflict you experience increases as your closeness to the person increases?
We like to dream about perfect relationships, the ones in which we share our lives with other people who love us, appreciate us, and take care of our needs.
But the reality of relationships is that the closer we are to a person, the more conflict there will be.
If you are upset today because someone close to you has hurt you, angered you, or disappointed you,
please remember that real intimacy in relationships always comes with a price; that price is occasional conflict.
A song from years ago said, “A rock feels no pain, and an island never cries.”
I am willing to experience the negatives of a relationship rather than be a rock or an island. How about you?

I highly disagree with this e-mail I received.
oh well, f it.
Who sent you this email? And why do they have to disagree with Simon & Garfunkle? Obviously, they know not the song "I am a Rock" at all.
Read the freaking Lyrics!
Also..perfect relationship is the biggest myth in the world.
One second is all you can ever ask of perfection.
